WORLD CHAMPS

WE ARE BACK IN NJ TRYING TO RELAX.... YEAH RIGHT!! NO RELAXING FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS AT LEAST! CHASE HAS BEEN ON THE GO AND ON THE PHONE SINCE THE MINUTE THE SUPER BOWL ENDED! AND ME AND THE BOYS HAVE BEEN WITH HIM THE WHOLE TIME.... EXHAUSTING BUT THE BOYS ARE CHAMPS, THEY HAVE DONE GREAT WITH THE HECTIC SCHEDULES THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS.
Chase had a street naming ceremony in Jersey City today which was really exciting to see him get honored like that. We also did an interview with Inside Edition which will air nationally probably at the end of the week or early next week. Also continue watching WPIX 11 in NY for more coverage. Chase will be doing some signings and more interviews here in NY over the next couple of weeks before we head home to Ohio!!

SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!!

WE ARE BACK IN NEW JERSEY AND MY HUBBY IS A WORLD CHAMPION... AGAIN!!! He got his second ring now he has one for Landyn and one for Bentley!! Yesterday was such a blur! The boys did great at the game!! Bentley had one little freak out but for a 13 week old he did amazing! He passed out while we were celebrating on the field! It was so cute!! THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE GAME WAS OF COURSE MY HUBBY'S INTERCEPTION!! WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY!! Landyn did great at the game too, he loved it and ran around in the confetti throwing it in the air!! We took the boys onto the podium and held the trophy which was amazing! I have lots of pictures to post but will have to post them later once I download them on the computer. Here are a few from my phone :)
So I didn't get to go to the Giants after party because it was 12:30 and I had to put the boys to bed... But my hubby apparently met Katy Perry :( not cool not cool I'm very jealous!! This was supposed to post yesterday but apparently it didn't. So here it is and I'm working on my last big one tonight with lots of super bowl pictures!!!

Family Fun

Today was family day for the Blackburns! My brother, sister and her boyfriend drove in today for the rest of the weekend! We have family that lives in Lafayette so they drove over for the day. Chase's friends drove in today for the game tomorrow. So the people have started to slowly trickle in. Landyn ran around like a maniac today with her second cousin, Lily. We didn't make it to Super Bowl Village but everyone said it was crazy there and the weather isn't the best here today. We had an interview with NBC4 from Columbus and Chase got mobbed by fans... Come on people don't bother a player when he's holding his 13 week old baby! Let's hope the boys sleep good tonight and we all get rested up for the BIG GAME!!! I will put up a post after the game with some pictures. GO GMEN!! ALL IN #93

WE MADE IT TO INDY!!

We made it to Indy yesterday and I started a post and it didn't save... So I'll have to start over! Our 9am departure from Ohio turned into a 1:15pm departure after a few problems!! Bentley was up all night and then passed out around 5am in my bed and didn't wake until 8:30... Set back #1... My brother found a dead mouse in one of the traps... Set back #2 (yes I freaked out again!!)... Landyn decided to poop as we were getting ready to load up and leave... that's 3 and then I forgot Bentley's medicine and milk so we had to turn around... And that makes #4!!! So we made great time and the boys did awesome!! Bentley slept almost the whole way and Landyn watched a movie and played with his cars.
So we pulled into our hotel and all these men come up to the car (Chase's truck) and I think this is strange... so I get out and.... Ma'am do you know you have a flat tire???!! UMMM NO! So I had a totally flat tire!! Awesome! Luckily they took care of it for us! So we all packed into our small hotel room and the boys did great last night! Landyn slept the whole night even when Bentley woke up!!
This morning I was on PIX11 live from the hotel lobby and was so nervous! But it was fun talking about the super bowl and about Chase's success!

What else could go wrong...

So if this week wasn't stressful enough I have a list of things that have gone wrong and it just keeps getting growing!! So the biggest bumps in the road have been...
I came home to Landyn's toddler car seat in Chase's truck broken! So that was fun... I got to buy a new car seat!
Then Bentley hasnt slept the entire time we've been home and has been spitting up non stop... So I'm not sure whats going on with him!
And finally the monster of all things that could go wrong... WE HAVE MICE IN OUR NEW HOUSE!! I was in Landyn's room putting his shoes on him to run errands and my sister said "umm Megan there's a mouse behind you." and she said it very calmly! I freaked out and ran out of the roomies I ran out leaving my poor child to the mouse! I just lost some mommy points there! So my brave little sister tried to lead the mouse to the back door but when it came out I screamed and the mouse ran away and we still don't know where! We called Orkin to come out and they searched the house an set traps and apparently found lots of evidence that there is definitely a lot more than 1 mouse! They also found where the mouse are coming in... Apparently the builders didn't finish under our stairs in the garage THERE IS A HOLE LEADING STRAIGHT INTO THE HOUSE! AWESOME! So my brother caught 1 and took it outside and my sister-in-law saw 1 in our dogs food bowl she also saw 1 run out of the play room and there is 1 that keeps going into our laundry room but we can't catch any of them! So when we leave tomorrow my brother and dad are setting some serious traps! Oh and our builders will be receiving a serious phone call from my husband once the super bowl is over!
So when there are that many bumps there has to be a light at the end right?? And that light is from a big shiny super bowl ring ;)
So please pray that we make it to Indy safely and without any problems tomorrow (well I guess today!)

FAMILY TIME

This trip is a little stressful and being a single mom for the week is a little tiring but it's all worth it! We are getting to spend lots of time with family! My brother got to meet Bentley for the first time yesterday. He actually left for training (army) while I was in labor! He came over and played with the boys then went grocery shopping for me and made pot roast in the crock pot... YUMMY! Gotta love having a brother who loves to cook, he is awesome!! My sister is staying with me and is helping out with the boys, especially at bedtime! I don't know how single moms do it with more than 1 child! Single parents I bow down to you because I'm exhausted and I've only been doing it for 3 days and my family is helping out as much as possible!!
So our first night home didn't go as planned... It was Bentley's first night in his crib and in his own room and he didn't sleep AT ALL!! So mommy was very tired yesterday. He did better last night he slept 9pm until 2am but after 2 he was up on/off until finally up for the day at 7:30.
I received a big shipment of super bowl attire from Bella Artistry yesterday and everything is awesome! I also received my shirts from Firedaughter Clothing and they are sweet! I am giving you a sneak peak but I will post lots of pictures following the Super Bowl of all the events and celebrations!!
Today is laundry day and buying last minute items to pack up for Indy. Yesterday started the ticket distributing so hopefully we will knock the rest of that out today and tomorrow so I don't have to worry about it at the Super Bowl!
Now I'm going to get back to hanging out with my sister and brother... HOME SWEET HOME LOVE IT!!
